A Nissan battery is a rechargeable battery that provides electrical energy to your auto.It’s also known as an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its main purpose would be to start the Nissan engine.
Power for the auto is supplied by the alternator once the engine is running.
Normally, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are designed to release a high outburst of current, measured in amperes, and then be immediately recharged.
They are not designed for deep discharge, along with the lifespan of the Nissan battery can be reduced by a total discharge.
